Electric vehicle company, Xpeng Inc. (NYSE:XPEV) began presale of its new model, the G9, on Wednesday.

The final sales price of the G9 is still unknown. However, XPeng CEO, He Xiaopeng, once called the G9 “the best SUV model priced below RMB500,000 ($73,970)”, implying that the G9 will not be priced over the said level. The actual sales price of the model will be disclosed in September.

When XPeng lifted the veil on the G9 at November’s Guangzhou Auto Show, it did so without showcasing the vehicle’s interior. However, video and pictures of the interior released by the company show a myriad of features included with XPeng’s flagship SUV.

The electric SUV features a luxury cockpit design with a 14.96” center control screen that connects with the 14.96” passenger-seat screen as a dual display.

Powered by a 3D UI human-machine interactive system, the G9 can, using its perception system, project the three-dimensional world it sees onto the onboard screen. This feature is meant to help acquire and demonstrate driving information for the operator and passengers.

The capacity of the G9’s battery pack remains uncertain, but Car News China says the SUV uses an 800-volt architecture that supports 480 kW charging, meaning 200 km (124 miles) of range can be added in just 5 minutes.

The model is expected to hit the market in September and start delivery in the fourth quarter of 2022.
