- Vodafone (LON:VOD) (VOD -2.1%) is refreshing its enterprise division branding in conjunction with the release of its 2019 Global Trends Report.
- The enterprise unit is now called Vodafone Business and the Global Trends Report points to customer-centricity, ethics and purpose, and the impact of artificial intelligence as key business priorities over the coming 12 months.
- The company's survey covered 1,700 global businesses and found that 88% of them said transforming the customer experience is a key objective, hinting that it might mean a shift toward long-term employees rather than freelancers or gig economy workers.
- Some 83% of businesses believe acting in an ethical manner generates more revenue, but only 48% of millennials believe businesses behave ethically.
- And 86% of businesses think AI will lead to different jobs, while 83% think work will be more productive when machine-augmented.
