Investing.com – United Arab Emirates stocks were mixed after the close on Sunday, as gains in the Insurance, Telecoms and Real Estate & Construction sectors led shares higher while losses in the Transport, Services and Banking sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Dubai, the DFM General added 1.13%, while the ADX General index lost 0.17%.
The best performers of the session on the DFM General were Takaful Emarat PSC (DU:TKFE), which rose 10.00% or 0.150 points to trade at 1.650 at the close. Meanwhile, Takaful House (DU:DTKF) added 8.12% or 0.042 points to end at 0.559 and Dubai Islamic Insurance Co. (DU:AMAN) was up 7.14% or 0.040 points to 0.600 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Air Arabia PJSC (DU:AIRA), which fell 2.67% or 0.040 points to trade at 1.460 at the close. SHUAA Capital PSC (DU:SHUA) declined 2.02% or 0.010 points to end at 0.485 and National Central Cooling Co. (DU:TABR) was down 1.61% or 0.020 points to 1.220.
The top performers on the ADX General were Int Fish Farmi (AD:ASMK) which rose 7.84% to 6.60, Ad Natl Energy (AD:TAQA) which was up 5.45% to settle at 0.550 and Dana Gas (AD:DANA) which gained 3.85% to close at 0.540.
The worst performers were Ad Natl Ins Co (AD:ADNI) which was down 9.72% to 3.90 in late trade, Agthia Group (AD:AGTH) which lost 5.00% to settle at 7.60 and Ad Islamic Bk (AD:ADIB) which was down 2.81% to 4.50 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Dubai Stock Exchange by 20 to 7; on the Abu Dhabi Stock Exchange, 14 rose and 10 declined, while 2 ended unchanged.
Shares in Ad Natl Ins Co (AD:ADNI) fell to all time lows; falling 9.72% or 0.42 to 3.90.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 6.31% or 2.69 to $45.24 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 4.93% or 2.35 to hit $49.91 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.92% or 10.30 to trade at $1132.90 a troy ounce.
USD/AED was up 0.01% to 3.6729, while EUR/AED fell 0.52% to 4.1067.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.42% at 96.14.
