Investing.com – United Arab Emirates stocks were mixed after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Transport, Telecoms and Services sectors led shares higher while losses in the Consumer Staples, Finance & Investment and Real Estate & Construction sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Dubai, the DFM General declined 1.22% to hit a new 1-month low, while the ADX General index added 0.60%.
The best performers of the session on the DFM General were ARAMEX PJSC (DU:ARMX), which rose 2.27% or 0.100 points to trade at 4.500 at the close. Meanwhile, Amanat Holdings PJSC (DU:AMANT) added 0.90% or 0.010 points to end at 1.120 and Air Arabia PJSC (DU:AIRA) was up 0.83% or 0.010 points to 1.220 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Arabtec Holding PJSC (DU:ARTC), which fell 6.67% or 0.060 points to trade at 0.840 at the close. Dubai Financial Market PJSC (DU:DFM) declined 5.33% or 0.080 points to end at 1.420 and Marka Pjse (DU:MARKA) was down 5.00% or 0.07 points to 1.33.
The top performers on the ADX General were National Marine Dredging PSC (AD:NMDC) which rose 8.70% to 5.000, Emirates Telec (AD:ETEL) which was up 2.22% to settle at 18.40 and Ad Natl Energy (AD:TAQA) which gained 2.13% to close at 0.480.
The worst performers were Ad Natl Ins Co (AD:ADNI) which was down 10.00% to 2.970 in late trade, Dana Gas (AD:DANA) which lost 8.51% to settle at 0.430 and Ad Shipbldg Co (AD:ADSB) which was down 8.19% to 2.690 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Dubai Stock Exchange by 21 to 8 and 3 ended unchanged; on the Abu Dhabi, 16 fell and 9 advanced, while 3 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for April delivery was up 1.86% or 1.00 to $54.78 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 1.83% or 1.03 to hit $57.21 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.78% or 9.65 to trade at $1229.45 a troy ounce.
USD/AED was down 0.00% to 3.6728, while EUR/AED fell 0.67% to 3.8717.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.60% at 101.53.
