Investing.com – United Arab Emirates stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Services, Finance & Investment and Real Estate & Construction sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Dubai, the DFM General gained 0.14%, while the ADX General index climbed 0.20%.
The best performers of the session on the DFM General were SHUAA Capital PSC (DU:SHUA), which rose 10.76% or 0.170 points to trade at 1.750 at the close. Meanwhile, Union Properties PJSC (DU:UPRO) added 9.77% or 0.073 points to end at 0.820 and Amanat Holdings PJSC (DU:AMANT) was up 5.95% or 0.055 points to 0.980 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were National Central Cooling Co. (DU:TABR), which fell 4.10% or 0.080 points to trade at 1.870 at the close. Marka Pjse (DU:MARKA) declined 3.51% or 0.04 points to end at 1.10 and Emirates NBD PJSC (DU:ENBD) was down 3.13% or 0.250 points to 7.750.
The top performers on the ADX General were Rak Cement Co (AD:RKCC) which rose 5.56% to 0.760, Eshraq Properties Co PJSC (AD:ESHR) which was up 5.26% to settle at 1.2000 and Rak Properties (AD:RPRO) which gained 4.69% to close at 0.670.
The worst performers were Green Crs Ins (AD:GCIC) which was down 9.23% to 0.590 in late trade, Gulf Pharm Ind (AD:GPHI) which lost 4.89% to settle at 2.140 and Ad Aviation (AD:ADAV) which was down 3.33% to 2.900 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Dubai Stock Exchange by 22 to 16 and 1 ended unchanged; on the Abu Dhabi Stock Exchange, 11 rose and 10 declined, while 6 ended unchanged.
Shares in SHUAA Capital PSC (DU:SHUA) rose to 5-year highs; rising 10.76% or 0.170 to 1.750. Shares in Amanat Holdings PJSC (DU:AMANT) rose to all time highs; up 5.95% or 0.055 to 0.980. Shares in Green Crs Ins (AD:GCIC) fell to 52-week lows; falling 9.23% or 0.060 to 0.590. Shares in Eshraq Properties Co PJSC (AD:ESHR) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 5.26% or 0.0600 to 1.2000. Shares in Rak Properties (AD:RPRO) rose to 52-week highs; up 4.69% or 0.030 to 0.670.
Crude oil for January delivery was up 1.88% or 0.87 to $47.23 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 1.92% or 0.90 to hit $47.76 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.48% or 5.85 to trade at $1214.55 a troy ounce.
USD/AED was up 0.00% to 3.6731, while EUR/AED rose 0.33% to 3.9016.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.25% at 101.16.
