Bitcoin price today: inks new record high near $119k as ETF inflows surge
Investing.com – U.K. stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Pharmaceuticals & Biotech, Gas, Water & Multiutilities and Aerospace & Defense sectors led shares higher.
At the close in London, the Investing.com United Kingdom 100 gained 0.60%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com United Kingdom 100 were M&G Plc (LON:MNG), which rose 5.48% or 12.30 points to trade at 236.70 at the close. Meanwhile, GSK plc (LON:GSK) added 3.50% or 51.00 points to end at 1,507.00 and BT Group PLC (LON:BT) was up 3.16% or 5.50 points to 179.45 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were International Consolidated Airlines Group S.A. (LON:ICAG), which fell 2.01% or 6.70 points to trade at 326.10 at the close. Spirax-Sarco Engineering PLC (LON:SPX) declined 1.72% or 100.00 points to end at 5,715.00 and Compass Group PLC (LON:CPG) was down 1.70% or 45.00 points to 2,605.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the London Stock Exchange by 921 to 794 and 603 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.91% or 30.51 to $3,313.39 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 0.92% or 0.56 to hit $60.38 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract fell 1.25% or 0.79 to trade at $62.56 a barrel.
GBP/USD was unchanged 0.17% to 1.35, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.05% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.14% at 99.35.
