Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Banking, Financials and Transport sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 1.53%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Tesco Kipa (IS:KIPA), which rose 10.56% or 0.170 points to trade at 1.780 at the close. Meanwhile, Metro Holding (IS:METRO) added 6.60% or 0.070 points to end at 1.130 and Otokar (IS:OTKAR) was up 4.86% or 6.40 points to 138.20 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Vestel Beyaz Esya (IS:VESBE), which fell 5.19% or 0.700 points to trade at 12.800 at the close. Koza Altin (IS:KOZAL) declined 3.81% or 0.84 points to end at 21.18 and Soda Sanayii (IS:SODA) was down 3.77% or 0.220 points to 5.620.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 247 to 112 and 47 ended unchanged.
Shares in Metro Holding (IS:METRO) rose to 52-week highs; up 6.60% or 0.070 to 1.130.
Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.40% or 4.95 to $1231.85 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 1.89% or 1.00 to hit $54.00 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract rose 2.00% or 1.11 to trade at $56.74 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.34% to 3.6951, while EUR/TRY rose 0.01% to 3.9268.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.21% at 100.87.
