Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Sports, Wood, Paper & Printing and Textile & Leather sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 1.12% to hit a new 3-months low.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Netas Telekomunikasyon AS (IS:NETAS), which rose 3.90% or 0.39 points to trade at 10.39 at the close. Meanwhile, Ihlas Holding (IS:IHLAS) added 3.45% or 0.010 points to end at 0.300 and Aselsan (IS:ASELS) was up 3.20% or 0.35 points to 11.30 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Deva Holding (IS:DEVA), which fell 5.36% or 0.200 points to trade at 3.530 at the close. Hurriyet Gzt. (IS:HURGZ) declined 5.33% or 0.040 points to end at 0.710 and Besiktas Futbol Yat. (IS:BJKAS) was down 4.59% or 0.200 points to 4.160.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 306 to 64 and 40 ended unchanged.
Shares in Aselsan (IS:ASELS) rose to 3-years highs; up 3.20% or 0.35 to 11.30.
Gold for December delivery was down 0.17% or 2.05 to $1185.75 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 0.29% or 0.14 to hit $48.08 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 0.33% or 0.16 to trade at $49.11 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 1.64% to 3.4511, while EUR/TRY rose 1.87% to 3.6524.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.10% at 101.63.
