Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Leasing & Factoring, Telecoms and Sports sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 1.05%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Bizim Magazalari (IS:BIZIM), which rose 2.53% or 0.26 points to trade at 10.53 at the close. Meanwhile, Net Turizm (IS:NTTUR) added 2.26% or 0.030 points to end at 1.360 and Afyon Cimento (IS:AFYON) was up 1.56% or 0.12 points to 7.83 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Trabzonspor Sportif (IS:TSPOR), which fell 4.47% or 0.140 points to trade at 2.990 at the close. Metro Holding (IS:METRO) declined 4.26% or 0.040 points to end at 0.900 and Turkcell (IS:TCELL) was down 3.72% or 0.36 points to 9.33.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 255 to 80 and 76 ended unchanged.

Gold for December delivery was down 0.49% or 5.80 to $1185.00 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 3.78% or 1.78 to hit $45.30 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract fell 3.76% or 1.85 to trade at $47.36 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.01% to 3.4150, while EUR/TRY fell 0.02% to 3.6252.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.06% at 101.27.
