Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Wholesale & Retail Trade, Tourism and Telecoms sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 lost 0.73%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Ford Otomotiv Sanayi AS (IS:FROTO), which rose 2.96% or 1.22 points to trade at 42.42 at the close. Meanwhile, Alcatel Lucent Teletas Telekomunikasyon AS (IS:ALCTL) added 2.49% or 0.270 points to end at 11.120 and Galatasaray Sportif Sinai ve Ticari Yatirimlar AS (IS:GSRAY) was up 2.27% or 0.72 points to 32.48 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were ODAS Elektrik Uretim Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:ODAS), which fell 3.61% or 0.190 points to trade at 5.080 at the close. Tekfen Holding AS (IS:TKFEN) declined 3.33% or 0.30 points to end at 8.72 and Ayen Enerji AS (IS:AYEN) was down 3.15% or 0.140 points to 4.300.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 267 to 100 and 41 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.41% or 5.27 to $1292.23 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 4.44% or 2.14 to hit $46.05 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract fell 3.53% or 1.77 to trade at $48.35 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 1.04% to 3.5517, while EUR/TRY rose 0.65% to 3.9912.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.30% at 96.79.
