Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Insurance, Basic Metals and Food & Beverages sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 lost 0.64%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Ihlas Holding AS (IS:IHLAS), which rose 7.84% or 0.040 points to trade at 0.550 at the close. Meanwhile, Ipek Dogal Enerji Kaynaklari Arastirma ve Uretim AS (IS:IPEKE) added 6.88% or 0.280 points to end at 4.350 and Ege Endustri ve Ticaret AS (IS:EGEEN) was up 4.12% or 10.60 points to 267.80 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Tesco Kipa Kitle Pazarlama Ticaret Lojistik ve Gida Sanayi AS (IS:KIPA), which fell 4.31% or 0.140 points to trade at 3.110 at the close. Cemtas Celik Makina Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:CEMTS) declined 4.26% or 0.200 points to end at 4.500 and Kardemir Karabuk Demir Celik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS Class D (IS:KRDMD) was down 3.35% or 0.070 points to 2.020.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 226 to 119 and 61 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.75% or 9.40 to $1269.40 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 1.39% or 0.68 to hit $49.72 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract rose 1.92% or 0.99 to trade at $52.48 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.16% to 3.5304, while EUR/TRY rose 0.39% to 4.1490.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.59% at 93.22.
