Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Holdings & Investments, Metal Products & Machinery and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 0.61%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Koza Anadolu Metal Madencilik Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAA), which rose 6.45% or 0.140 points to trade at 2.310 at the close. Meanwhile, Akenerji Elektrik Uretim AS (IS:AKENR) added 4.17% or 0.040 points to end at 1.000 and ODAS Elektrik Uretim Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:ODAS) was up 3.59% or 0.170 points to 4.910 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Koc Holding AS (IS:KCHOL), which fell 6.52% or 1.11 points to trade at 15.91 at the close. Haci Omer Sabanci Holding AS (IS:SAHOL) declined 3.42% or 0.38 points to end at 10.72 and Ford Otomotiv Sanayi AS (IS:FROTO) was down 3.03% or 1.22 points to 39.06.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 190 to 163 and 53 ended unchanged.
Shares in ODAS Elektrik Uretim Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:ODAS) rose to 52-week highs; rising 3.59% or 0.170 to 4.910.
Gold Futures for June delivery was up 0.33% or 4.16 to $1257.26 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 3.17% or 1.63 to hit $49.73 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract fell 2.98% or 1.61 to trade at $52.35 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.17% to 3.5661, while EUR/TRY rose 0.33% to 4.0076.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.05% at 97.00.
