Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Basic Metals, Transport and Wholesale & Retail Trade sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 0.55%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were ODAS Elektrik Uretim Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:ODAS), which rose 2.16% or 0.110 points to trade at 5.210 at the close. Meanwhile, Aksa Akrilik Kimya Sanayi AS (IS:AKSA) added 2.08% or 0.28 points to end at 13.75 and Soda Sanayi AS (IS:SODA) was up 1.87% or 0.120 points to 6.540 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Gozde Girisim Sermayesi Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:GOZDE), which fell 20.00% or 0.730 points to trade at 2.920 at the close. Koza Altin Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAL) declined 4.42% or 0.85 points to end at 18.40 and Pegasus Hava Tasimaciligi AS (IS:PGSUS) was down 3.15% or 0.610 points to 18.770.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 226 to 123 and 57 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.16% or 2.04 to $1256.64 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 0.47% or 0.21 to hit $44.67 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract rose 0.66% or 0.31 to trade at $47.23 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.21% to 3.5055, while EUR/TRY rose 0.14% to 3.9243.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.33% at 97.18.
