Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Transport, Leasing & Factoring and Sports sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 lost 0.33%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Vakif Gmyo (IS:VKGYO), which rose 19.77% or 0.510 points to trade at 3.090 at the close. Meanwhile, AK Enerji (IS:AKENR) added 7.06% or 0.060 points to end at 0.910 and Global Yat. Holding (IS:GLYHO) was up 3.82% or 0.100 points to 2.720 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Besiktas Futbol Yat. (IS:BJKAS), which fell 3.95% or 0.210 points to trade at 5.100 at the close. Turk Hava Yollari (IS:THYAO) declined 2.88% or 0.170 points to end at 5.740 and Tav Havalimanlari (IS:TAVHL) was down 2.47% or 0.39 points to 15.41.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 203 to 150 and 52 ended unchanged.
Shares in Vakif Gmyo (IS:VKGYO) rose to 52-week highs; rising 19.77% or 0.510 to 3.090.
Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.85% or 10.55 to $1244.55 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May fell 1.21% or 0.59 to hit $48.32 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract fell 0.97% or 0.50 to trade at $51.12 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.10% to 3.6203, while EUR/TRY rose 0.78% to 3.9162.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.67% at 99.49.
