Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Wholesale & Retail Trade, Services and Insurance sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 0.24%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Odas Elektrik (IS:ODAS), which rose 4.27% or 0.340 points to trade at 8.300 at the close. Meanwhile, Otokar (IS:OTKAR) added 3.78% or 4.70 points to end at 129.20 and Ihlas Holding (IS:IHLAS) was up 3.33% or 0.010 points to 0.310 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Enka Insaat (IS:ENKAI), which fell 2.44% or 0.130 points to trade at 5.200 at the close. Vestel (IS:VESTL) declined 2.19% or 0.140 points to end at 6.260 and Ege Endustri (IS:EGEEN) was down 2.05% or 4.50 points to 215.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 184 to 154 and 70 ended unchanged.
Shares in Otokar (IS:OTKAR) rose to all time highs; up 3.78% or 4.70 to 129.20.
Gold for February delivery was down 0.05% or 0.55 to $1133.05 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February fell 0.19% or 0.10 to hit $53.20 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract fell 0.29% or 0.16 to trade at $55.19 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.45% to 3.5114, while EUR/TRY fell 0.05% to 3.6631.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.27% at 102.98.
