Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Textile & Leather, Wood, Paper & Printing and Basic Metals sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 0.12%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Koza Anadolu Metal Madencilik Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAA), which rose 5.63% or 0.180 points to trade at 3.380 at the close. Meanwhile, Erbosan Erciyas Boru Sanayi Ve Ticaret AS (IS:ERBOS) added 5.52% or 3.55 points to end at 67.85 and Otokar Otomotiv ve Savunma Sanayi AS (IS:OTKAR) was up 3.73% or 4.20 points to 116.90 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Yatas Yatak ve Yorgan Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:YATAS), which fell 2.87% or 0.340 points to trade at 11.500 at the close. ODAS Elektrik Uretim Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:ODAS) declined 2.86% or 0.160 points to end at 5.430 and ENKA Insaat ve Sanayi AS (IS:ENKAI) was down 2.42% or 0.130 points to 5.250.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 220 to 132 and 54 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.13% or 1.63 to $1223.33 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 2.28% or 1.03 to hit $46.16 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract rose 2.03% or 0.97 to trade at $48.76 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.48% to 3.6233, while EUR/TRY rose 1.05% to 4.1376.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.33% at 95.65.
