Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Basic Metals, Wood, Paper & Printing and Metal Products & Machinery sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 0.12%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Galatasaray Sportif Sinai ve Ticari Yatirimlar AS (IS:GSRAY), which rose 20.00% or 4.88 points to trade at 29.28 at the close. Meanwhile, Kardemir Karabuk Demir Celik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS Class D (IS:KRDMD) added 5.22% or 0.070 points to end at 1.410 and Gozde Girisim Sermayesi Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:GOZDE) was up 4.07% or 0.110 points to 2.810 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Global Yatirim Holding AS (IS:GLYHO), which fell 6.77% or 0.220 points to trade at 3.030 at the close. Ford Otomotiv Sanayi AS (IS:FROTO) declined 2.46% or 0.98 points to end at 38.80 and Ihlas Holding AS (IS:IHLAS) was down 2.33% or 0.010 points to 0.420.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 196 to 150 and 57 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for June delivery was up 0.39% or 4.79 to $1228.99 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 0.27% or 0.13 to hit $47.70 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract fell 0.08% or 0.04 to trade at $50.73 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.20% to 3.5692, while EUR/TRY rose 0.33% to 3.9010.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.42% at 99.11.
