Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Basic Metals, Leasing & Factoring and Sports sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 lost 0.05%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Goltas Cimento (IS:GOLTS), which rose 10.43% or 7.95 points to trade at 84.15 at the close. Meanwhile, Global Yat. Holding (IS:GLYHO) added 9.89% or 0.260 points to end at 2.890 and Turcas Petrol (IS:TRCAS) was up 4.95% or 0.090 points to 1.910 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Park Elek. Madencilik (IS:PRKME), which fell 4.08% or 0.120 points to trade at 2.820 at the close. Tekfen Holding (IS:TKFEN) declined 3.51% or 0.32 points to end at 8.79 and Karsan Otomotiv (IS:KARSN) was down 3.28% or 0.040 points to 1.180.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 191 to 145 and 69 ended unchanged.
Shares in Global Yat. Holding (IS:GLYHO) rose to all time highs; gaining 9.89% or 0.260 to 2.890.
Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.28% or 3.45 to $1246.25 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May fell 0.44% or 0.21 to hit $47.83 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract fell 0.04% or 0.02 to trade at $50.62 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.22% to 3.6264, while EUR/TRY rose 0.13% to 3.9153.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.04% at 99.52.
