Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Banking, Real Estate Investments and Information Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 1.26% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Ihlas Holding AS (IS:IHLAS), which rose 5.00% or 0.030 points to trade at 0.630 at the close. Meanwhile, Arcelik AS (IS:ARCLK) added 1.69% or 0.38 points to end at 22.92 and Fenerbahce Futbol AS (IS:FENER) was up 1.62% or 0.56 points to 35.10 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Koza Anadolu Metal Madencilik Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAA), which fell 3.71% or 0.270 points to trade at 7.000 at the close. SASA Polyester Sanayi AS (IS:SASA) declined 3.36% or 0.240 points to end at 6.900 and Tekfen Holding AS (IS:TKFEN) was down 3.30% or 0.39 points to 11.44.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 288 to 82 and 32 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 1.38% or 18.23 to $1298.17 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.06% or 0.03 to hit $50.66 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 0.07% or 0.04 to trade at $56.33 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.00% to 3.5039, while EUR/TRY rose 0.42% to 4.1888.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.29% at 91.95.
