Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Wholesale & Retail Trade, Chemical, Petroleum & Plastic and Insurance sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 0.53%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Agrotech Yuksek Teknoloji ve Yatirim AS (IS:AGROT), which rose 5.02% or 0.72 points to trade at 15.06 at the close. Meanwhile, Kontrolmatik Teknoloji Enerji ve Mu (IS:KONTR) added 4.62% or 1.94 points to end at 43.90 and Konya Cimento Sanayi AS (IS:KONYA) was up 4.39% or 285.00 points to 6,775.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were BIM Birlesik Magazalar AS (IS:BIMAS), which fell 7.52% or 40.50 points to trade at 498.00 at the close. Tekfen Holding AS (IS:TKFEN) declined 4.61% or 2.65 points to end at 54.85 and Turkiye Vakiflar Bankasi TAO (IS:VAKBN) was down 3.54% or 0.82 points to 22.34.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 335 to 224 and 18 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.76% or 20.40 to $2,674.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.15% or 0.10 to hit $67.77 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 0.07% or 0.05 to trade at $71.14 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.06% to 34.16, while EUR/TRY fell 0.08% to 38.14.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.08% at 100.17.
