Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Banking, Financials and Metal Products & Machinery sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 3.10% to hit a new 52-week high.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Turkiye Vakiflar Bankasi TAO (IS:VAKBN), which rose 7.03% or 0.390 points to trade at 5.940 at the close. Meanwhile, Turkiye Is Bankasi AS C (IS:ISCTR) added 7.01% or 0.460 points to end at 7.020 and Vestel (IS:VESTL) was up 6.74% or 0.460 points to 7.280 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Kordsa Global (IS:KORDS), which fell 1.61% or 0.13 points to trade at 7.92 at the close. Nurol Gmyo (IS:NUGYO) declined 0.67% or 0.030 points to end at 4.450 and Trabzonspor Sportif (IS:TSPOR) was down 0.38% or 0.010 points to 2.640.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 270 to 74 and 63 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for June delivery was down 0.06% or 0.75 to $1256.55 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May rose 1.30% or 0.68 to hit $52.92 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract rose 1.10% or 0.61 to trade at $55.85 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.29% to 3.7244, while EUR/TRY rose 0.02% to 3.9511.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.19% at 100.89.
