Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Banking, Transport and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 2.88% to hit a new 6-months high.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Yapi Ve Kredi Bank. (IS:YKBNK), which rose 11.58% or 0.410 points to trade at 3.950 at the close. Meanwhile, T. Halk Bankasi (IS:HALKB) added 6.92% or 0.74 points to end at 11.44 and Ihlas Holding (IS:IHLAS) was up 5.88% or 0.020 points to 0.360 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Net Turizm (IS:NTTUR), which fell 2.36% or 0.030 points to trade at 1.240 at the close. Do-Co (IS:DOCO) declined 1.44% or 3.50 points to end at 238.90 and Fenerbahce Futbol (IS:FENER) was down 1.35% or 0.52 points to 37.88.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 310 to 44 and 50 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.78% or 9.25 to $1200.35 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 1.26% or 0.67 to hit $52.50 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract fell 0.97% or 0.54 to trade at $55.16 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 2.20% to 3.7849, while EUR/TRY fell 2.27% to 4.0496.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.17% at 100.39.
