Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Transport, Wholesale & Retail Trade and Tourism sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 1.91%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Afyon Cimento (IS:AFYON), which rose 19.94% or 1.38 points to trade at 8.30 at the close. Meanwhile, Alcatel Lucent Teletas (IS:ALCTL) added 11.66% or 0.900 points to end at 8.620 and Koza Madencilik (IS:KOZAA) was up 7.58% or 0.160 points to 2.270 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Petkim (IS:PETKM), which fell 1.78% or 0.070 points to trade at 3.860 at the close. Ford Otosan (IS:FROTO) declined 0.58% or 0.18 points to end at 30.74 and Trakya Cam (IS:TRKCM) was down 0.40% or 0.010 points to 2.490.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 319 to 33 and 52 ended unchanged.

Gold for December delivery was down 1.74% or 22.75 to $1281.75 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.43% or 0.19 to hit $44.26 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 0.11% or 0.05 to trade at $45.53 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.67% to 3.1798, while EUR/TRY fell 0.22% to 3.5101.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.93% at 97.84.
