Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Tourism, Electricity and Basic Metals sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 1.32% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were ODAS Elektrik Uretim Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:ODAS), which rose 8.24% or 0.350 points to trade at 4.600 at the close. Meanwhile, Koza Anadolu Metal Madencilik Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAA) added 6.97% or 0.140 points to end at 2.150 and Izmir Demir Celik Sanayi AS (IS:IZMDC) was up 6.29% or 0.200 points to 3.380 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Hurriyet Gazetecilik ve Matbaacilik AS (IS:HURGZ), which fell 3.80% or 0.030 points to trade at 0.760 at the close. Besiktas Futbol Yatirimlari Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:BJKAS) declined 3.79% or 0.180 points to end at 4.570 and Tumosan Motor ve Traktor Sanayi AS (IS:TMSN) was down 2.30% or 0.180 points to 7.640.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 250 to 101 and 54 ended unchanged.
Shares in ODAS Elektrik Uretim Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:ODAS) rose to 52-week highs; up 8.24% or 0.350 to 4.600.
Gold Futures for June delivery was up 0.54% or 6.82 to $1260.42 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 0.49% or 0.25 to hit $50.92 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract rose 0.30% or 0.16 to trade at $53.77 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.17% to 3.5691, while EUR/TRY rose 0.08% to 4.0105.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.12% at 96.88.
