Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Leasing & Factoring, Transport and Sports sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 1.20%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Yazicilar Holding (IS:YAZIC), which rose 4.37% or 0.52 points to trade at 12.41 at the close. Meanwhile, Tofas Oto. Fab. (IS:TOASO) added 4.27% or 0.88 points to end at 21.50 and Carrefoursa Carrefour Sabanci Ticaret Merkezi AS (IS:CRFSA) was up 3.89% or 0.26 points to 6.95 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Metro Holding (IS:METRO), which fell 4.12% or 0.040 points to trade at 0.930 at the close. Aksa Enerji (IS:AKSEN) declined 2.92% or 0.080 points to end at 2.660 and Do-Co (IS:DOCO) was down 2.59% or 5.20 points to 195.20.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 266 to 82 and 57 ended unchanged.
Shares in Do-Co (IS:DOCO) fell to 52-week lows; down 2.59% or 5.20 to 195.20.
Gold for February delivery was up 0.70% or 8.15 to $1177.55 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 0.71% or 0.36 to hit $51.42 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract rose 0.56% or 0.30 to trade at $54.24 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.53% to 3.5214, while EUR/TRY rose 0.62% to 3.7588.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.22% at 100.80.
