Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Banking, Financials and Information Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 1.17%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Tesco Kipa (IS:KIPA), which rose 5.77% or 0.090 points to trade at 1.650 at the close. Meanwhile, Karsan Otomotiv (IS:KARSN) added 5.66% or 0.060 points to end at 1.120 and Alcatel Lucent Teletas (IS:ALCTL) was up 4.01% or 0.280 points to 7.270 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Metro Holding (IS:METRO), which fell 6.82% or 0.060 points to trade at 0.820 at the close. Ipek Dogal Enerji (IS:IPEKE) declined 1.26% or 0.030 points to end at 2.360 and Koza Madencilik (IS:KOZAA) was down 1.22% or 0.030 points to 2.430.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 233 to 97 and 77 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was up 0.58% or 7.35 to $1263.95 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.18% or 0.09 to hit $50.03 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 0.12% or 0.06 to trade at $51.46 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.02% to 3.0964, while EUR/TRY fell 0.03% to 3.4048.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.09% at 97.77.
