Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Transport, Basic Metals and Metal Products & Machinery sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 1.01%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Pegasus Hava Tasimaciligi AS (IS:PGSUS), which rose 8.05% or 1.540 points to trade at 20.680 at the close. Meanwhile, Ege Endustri ve Ticaret AS (IS:EGEEN) added 5.21% or 12.30 points to end at 248.40 and Erbosan Erciyas Boru Sanayi Ve Ticaret AS (IS:ERBOS) was up 3.73% or 2.45 points to 68.20 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Coca-Cola Icecek AS (IS:CCOLA), which fell 2.28% or 0.94 points to trade at 40.26 at the close. Ulker Biskuvi Sanayi AS (IS:ULKER) declined 1.97% or 0.42 points to end at 20.94 and Selcuk Ecza Deposu Ticaret ve Sanayi AS (IS:SELEC) was down 1.47% or 0.060 points to 4.020.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 261 to 79 and 66 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.21% or 2.57 to $1212.27 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 0.79% or 0.35 to hit $44.58 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract rose 0.79% or 0.37 to trade at $47.08 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.16% to 3.6111, while EUR/TRY fell 0.21% to 4.1165.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.05% at 95.83.
