Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Textile & Leather, Telecoms and Leasing & Factoring sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 0.99% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were SASA Polyester Sanayi AS (IS:SASA), which rose 6.39% or 0.470 points to trade at 7.830 at the close. Meanwhile, Tesco Kipa Kitle Pazarlama Ticaret Lojistik ve Gida Sanayi AS (IS:KIPA) added 5.79% or 0.140 points to end at 2.560 and Afyon Cimento Sanayi TAS (IS:AFYON) was up 5.50% or 0.51 points to 9.78 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Net Turizm Ticaret ve Sanayi AS (IS:NTTUR), which fell 1.44% or 0.030 points to trade at 2.050 at the close. Aksa Enerji Uretim AS (IS:AKSEN) declined 0.99% or 0.040 points to end at 4.000 and Erbosan Erciyas Boru Sanayi Ve Ticaret AS (IS:ERBOS) was down 0.91% or 0.65 points to 70.40.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 260 to 88 and 59 ended unchanged.
Shares in Tesco Kipa Kitle Pazarlama Ticaret Lojistik ve Gida Sanayi AS (IS:KIPA) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 5.79% or 0.140 to 2.560. Shares in Afyon Cimento Sanayi TAS (IS:AFYON) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 5.50% or 0.51 to 9.78.
Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.48% or 5.95 to $1233.45 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 0.67% or 0.31 to hit $46.23 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract fell 0.45% or 0.22 to trade at $48.69 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.25% to 3.5306, while EUR/TRY fell 0.19% to 4.0512.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.06% at 94.96.
