Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Wholesale & Retail Trade, Leasing & Factoring and Metal Products & Machinery sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 0.93% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Alkim Alkali Kimya AS (IS:ALKIM), which rose 6.17% or 1.58 points to trade at 27.18 at the close. Meanwhile, Tekfen Holding AS (IS:TKFEN) added 4.73% or 0.44 points to end at 9.74 and Tesco Kipa Kitle Pazarlama Ticaret Lojistik ve Gida Sanayi AS (IS:KIPA) was up 4.31% or 0.100 points to 2.420 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Dogan Sirketler Grubu Holding AS (IS:DOHOL), which fell 2.53% or 0.020 points to trade at 0.770 at the close. Anadolu Efes Biracilik ve Malt Sanayi AS (IS:AEFES) declined 2.51% or 0.56 points to end at 21.72 and Aksa Akrilik Kimya Sanayi AS (IS:AKSA) was down 1.94% or 0.28 points to 14.14.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 200 to 138 and 70 ended unchanged.
Shares in Tesco Kipa Kitle Pazarlama Ticaret Lojistik ve Gida Sanayi AS (IS:KIPA) rose to 52-week highs; up 4.31% or 0.100 to 2.420.
Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.88% or 10.73 to $1228.03 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 0.95% or 0.44 to hit $46.52 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract rose 0.97% or 0.47 to trade at $48.89 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.75% to 3.5391, while EUR/TRY fell 0.32% to 4.0546.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.57% at 95.02.
