Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Information Technology, Basic Metals and Tourism sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 0.92%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Alcatel Lucent Teletas Telekomunikasyon AS Class A (IS:ALCTL), which rose 19.98% or 1.660 points to trade at 9.970 at the close. Meanwhile, Ipek Dogal Enerji (IS:IPEKE) added 10.81% or 0.200 points to end at 2.050 and Koza Madencilik (IS:KOZAA) was up 10.53% or 0.200 points to 2.100 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Metro Holding (IS:METRO), which fell 8.63% or 0.120 points to trade at 1.270 at the close. Galatasaray Sportif (IS:GSRAY) declined 3.88% or 1.06 points to end at 26.24 and Ihlas Holding (IS:IHLAS) was down 2.50% or 0.010 points to 0.390.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 189 to 154 and 65 ended unchanged.
Shares in Alcatel Lucent Teletas Telekomunikasyon AS Class A (IS:ALCTL) rose to all time highs; up 19.98% or 1.660 to 9.970.
Gold Futures for April delivery was up 2.30% or 27.65 to $1228.35 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 0.78% or 0.38 to hit $48.48 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract fell 0.54% or 0.28 to trade at $51.53 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 1.33% to 3.6294, while EUR/TRY fell 1.32% to 3.9000.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.16% at 100.20.
