Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Technology, Telecoms and Transport sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 0.87%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Tumosan Motor Ve Traktor (IS:TMSN), which rose 7.61% or 0.450 points to trade at 6.360 at the close. Meanwhile, Koza Madencilik (IS:KOZAA) added 6.67% or 0.170 points to end at 2.720 and Aselsan (IS:ASELS) was up 6.48% or 0.95 points to 15.60 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Afyon Cimento (IS:AFYON), which fell 19.15% or 3.60 points to trade at 15.20 at the close. Hurriyet Gzt. (IS:HURGZ) declined 1.54% or 0.010 points to end at 0.640 and Sekerbank (IS:SKBNK) was down 1.30% or 0.020 points to 1.520.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 310 to 89 and 12 ended unchanged.
Shares in Sekerbank (IS:SKBNK) fell to 52-week lows; losing 1.30% or 0.020 to 1.520.
Gold for December delivery was down 0.15% or 1.70 to $1095.20 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 1.56% or 0.74 to hit $48.13 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract rose 0.36% or 0.20 to trade at $53.66 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.49% to 2.7581, while EUR/TRY fell 0.80% to 3.0495.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.16% at 96.79.
