Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Technology, Information Technology and Banking sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 0.60% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Hurriyet Gazetecilik ve Matbaacilik AS (IS:HURGZ), which rose 6.49% or 0.050 points to trade at 0.820 at the close. Meanwhile, Kardemir Karabuk Demir Celik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS Class D (IS:KRDMD) added 4.14% or 0.060 points to end at 1.510 and Aselsan Elektronik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:ASELS) was up 3.77% or 0.80 points to 22.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Global Yatirim Holding AS (IS:GLYHO), which fell 3.36% or 0.100 points to trade at 2.880 at the close. Galatasaray Sportif Sinai ve Ticari Yatirimlar AS (IS:GSRAY) declined 2.63% or 0.86 points to end at 31.90 and Ihlas Holding AS (IS:IHLAS) was down 2.33% or 0.010 points to 0.420.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 184 to 165 and 58 ended unchanged.
Shares in Kardemir Karabuk Demir Celik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS Class D (IS:KRDMD) rose to 52-week highs; up 4.14% or 0.060 to 1.510. Shares in Aselsan Elektronik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:ASELS) rose to all time highs; rising 3.77% or 0.80 to 22.00.
Gold Futures for June delivery was up 0.56% or 6.94 to $1236.94 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 0.02% or 0.01 to hit $48.84 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract rose 0.04% or 0.02 to trade at $51.84 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.21% to 3.5554, while EUR/TRY rose 1.09% to 3.9376.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.66% at 98.16.
