Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Leasing & Factoring, Sports and Electricity sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 0.50%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Galatasaray Sportif (IS:GSRAY), which rose 12.41% or 3.72 points to trade at 33.70 at the close. Meanwhile, Koza Madencilik (IS:KOZAA) added 8.26% or 0.180 points to end at 2.360 and Ipek Dogal Enerji (IS:IPEKE) was up 7.35% or 0.150 points to 2.190 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Alcatel Lucent Teletas (IS:ALCTL), which fell 2.63% or 0.190 points to trade at 7.040 at the close. Do-Co (IS:DOCO) declined 2.14% or 4.80 points to end at 220.00 and Alarko Holding (IS:ALARK) was down 1.99% or 0.090 points to 4.440.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 173 to 140 and 92 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was up 0.40% or 4.95 to $1228.85 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.64% or 0.29 to hit $45.86 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 0.45% or 0.21 to trade at $46.84 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.77% to 3.3487, while EUR/TRY rose 0.62% to 3.5780.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.11% at 100.49.
