Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Information Technology, Non-Metal Mineral Products and Wholesale & Retail Trade sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 0.48%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Good-Year (IS:GOODY), which rose 19.99% or 15.70 points to trade at 94.25 at the close. Meanwhile, Logo Yazilim (IS:LOGO) added 9.80% or 5.000 points to end at 56.000 and Goltas Cimento (IS:GOLTS) was up 8.33% or 6.75 points to 87.80 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Net Turizm (IS:NTTUR), which fell 2.56% or 0.040 points to trade at 1.520 at the close. Ulker Biskuvi (IS:ULKER) declined 2.31% or 0.50 points to end at 21.10 and Soda Sanayii (IS:SODA) was down 2.18% or 0.110 points to 4.930.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 181 to 161 and 68 ended unchanged.
Shares in Good-Year (IS:GOODY) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 19.99% or 15.70 to 94.25. Shares in Logo Yazilim (IS:LOGO) rose to all time highs; gaining 9.80% or 5.000 to 56.000. Shares in Goltas Cimento (IS:GOLTS) rose to 3-years highs; rising 8.33% or 6.75 to 87.80.
Gold for June delivery was up 0.56% or 6.90 to $1228.90 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May fell 3.17% or 1.25 to hit $38.14 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract fell 2.74% or 1.12 to trade at $39.75 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.18% to 2.8635, while EUR/TRY fell 0.13% to 3.2081.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.09% at 95.90.
