Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Leasing & Factoring, Electricity and Textile & Leather sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 0.45%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Park Elek. Madencilik (IS:PRKME), which rose 20.00% or 0.500 points to trade at 3.000 at the close. Meanwhile, Alcatel Lucent Teletas Telekomunikasyon AS Class A (IS:ALCTL) added 15.02% or 1.570 points to end at 12.020 and Ihlas Holding (IS:IHLAS) was up 5.13% or 0.020 points to 0.410 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Besiktas Futbol Yat. (IS:BJKAS), which fell 3.45% or 0.190 points to trade at 5.310 at the close. Netas Telekomunikasyon AS (IS:NETAS) declined 3.41% or 0.38 points to end at 10.77 and Yazicilar Holding (IS:YAZIC) was down 2.86% or 0.60 points to 20.40.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 202 to 135 and 70 ended unchanged.
Shares in Park Elek. Madencilik (IS:PRKME) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 20.00% or 0.500 to 3.000. Shares in Alcatel Lucent Teletas Telekomunikasyon AS Class A (IS:ALCTL) rose to all time highs; gaining 15.02% or 1.570 to 12.020.
Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.22% or 2.75 to $1232.95 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May fell 0.55% or 0.27 to hit $49.04 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract fell 0.08% or 0.04 to trade at $51.72 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.33% to 3.6220, while EUR/TRY fell 0.29% to 3.8915.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.04% at 100.18.
