Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Textile & Leather, Technology and Tourism sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 0.43% to hit a new 52-week high.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Global Yat. Holding (IS:GLYHO), which rose 9.17% or 0.210 points to trade at 2.500 at the close. Meanwhile, Aselsan (IS:ASELS) added 4.27% or 0.57 points to end at 13.92 and Metro Holding (IS:METRO) was up 4.10% or 0.050 points to 1.270 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Trabzonspor Sportif (IS:TSPOR), which fell 3.65% or 0.110 points to trade at 2.900 at the close. Otokar (IS:OTKAR) declined 2.44% or 3.50 points to end at 140.10 and Odas Elektrik (IS:ODAS) was down 2.39% or 0.230 points to 9.400.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 213 to 129 and 66 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.36% or 4.40 to $1234.70 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April rose 1.43% or 0.77 to hit $54.55 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract rose 1.16% or 0.65 to trade at $56.83 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.09% to 3.6279, while EUR/TRY fell 0.66% to 3.8230.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.53% at 101.45.
