Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Technology, Basic Metals and Electricity sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 0.40% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Ayen Enerji (IS:AYEN), which rose 4.08% or 0.160 points to trade at 4.080 at the close. Meanwhile, Gozde Girisim (IS:GOZDE) added 4.07% or 0.090 points to end at 2.300 and Aselsan (IS:ASELS) was up 3.72% or 0.70 points to 19.53 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Tekfen Holding (IS:TKFEN), which fell 3.17% or 0.30 points to trade at 9.16 at the close. Koza Altin (IS:KOZAL) declined 2.67% or 0.53 points to end at 19.31 and Alarko Gmyo (IS:ALGYO) was down 2.64% or 1.20 points to 44.24.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 175 to 157 and 71 ended unchanged.
Shares in Aselsan (IS:ASELS) rose to all time highs; rising 3.72% or 0.70 to 19.53.
Gold Futures for June delivery was up 0.13% or 1.66 to $1267.56 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 0.08% or 0.04 to hit $49.01 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract rose 0.08% or 0.04 to trade at $51.86 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.28% to 3.5517, while EUR/TRY fell 0.23% to 3.8682.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.05% at 98.97.
