Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Technology, Leasing & Factoring and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 0.37%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Alcatel Lucent Teletas (IS:ALCTL), which rose 5.83% or 0.400 points to trade at 7.260 at the close. Meanwhile, Aselsan (IS:ASELS) added 5.01% or 0.62 points to end at 12.99 and Brisa (IS:BRISA) was up 4.50% or 0.29 points to 6.73 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Net Turizm (IS:NTTUR), which fell 2.31% or 0.030 points to trade at 1.270 at the close. Ege Endustri (IS:EGEEN) declined 1.98% or 5.20 points to end at 257.30 and Anadolu Efes (IS:AEFES) was down 1.85% or 0.35 points to 18.60.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 186 to 144 and 76 ended unchanged.
Shares in Aselsan (IS:ASELS) rose to all time highs; rising 5.01% or 0.62 to 12.99.
Gold for February delivery was up 0.56% or 6.55 to $1179.95 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February fell 2.80% or 1.51 to hit $52.48 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract fell 2.77% or 1.58 to trade at $55.52 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 2.38% to 3.7303, while EUR/TRY rose 2.69% to 3.9414.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.14% at 102.03.
