Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Telecoms, Leasing & Factoring and Holdings & Investments sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 0.23%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Celebi (IS:CLEBI), which rose 4.79% or 0.91 points to trade at 19.91 at the close. Meanwhile, Ege Endustri (IS:EGEEN) added 2.69% or 5.40 points to end at 205.90 and Aksa (IS:AKSA) was up 2.45% or 0.22 points to 9.19 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Metro Holding (IS:METRO), which fell 4.90% or 0.050 points to trade at 0.970 at the close. Vestel Beyaz Esya (IS:VESBE) declined 2.74% or 0.310 points to end at 11.020 and Aselsan (IS:ASELS) was down 1.86% or 0.21 points to 11.09.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 187 to 156 and 66 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was down 0.40% or 4.75 to $1184.55 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 2.48% or 1.19 to hit $46.77 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 2.51% or 1.23 to trade at $47.77 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.01% to 3.4455, while EUR/TRY rose 0.45% to 3.6551.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.32% at 101.44.
