Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Information Technology, Technology and Textile & Leather sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 0.20%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Netas Telekomunikasyon AS (IS:NETAS), which rose 13.95% or 1.62 points to trade at 13.23 at the close. Meanwhile, Galatasaray Sportif Sinai ve Ticari Yatirimlar AS (IS:GSRAY) added 4.97% or 1.50 points to end at 31.70 and Kordsa Global Endustriyel Iplik ve Kord Bezi Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:KORDS) was up 3.55% or 0.31 points to 9.04 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Kardemir Karabuk Demir Celik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS Class D (IS:KRDMD), which fell 3.85% or 0.060 points to trade at 1.500 at the close. Halk Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:HLGYO) declined 2.75% or 0.030 points to end at 1.060 and Konya Cimento Sanayi AS (IS:KONYA) was down 2.56% or 6.90 points to 263.10.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 180 to 174 and 54 ended unchanged.
Shares in Netas Telekomunikasyon AS (IS:NETAS) rose to 52-week highs; rising 13.95% or 1.62 to 13.23. Shares in Kordsa Global Endustriyel Iplik ve Kord Bezi Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:KORDS) rose to all time highs; rising 3.55% or 0.31 to 9.04.
Gold Futures for June delivery was up 0.41% or 5.16 to $1267.26 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 2.74% or 1.36 to hit $48.30 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract fell 2.76% or 1.44 to trade at $50.80 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.49% to 3.5316, while EUR/TRY fell 0.06% to 3.9688.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.32% at 96.91.
