Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Food & Beverages, Tourism and Insurance sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 0.07% to hit a new 6-months high.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Tat Konserve (IS:TATGD), which rose 13.76% or 0.890 points to trade at 7.360 at the close. Meanwhile, Ulker Biskuvi (IS:ULKER) added 5.08% or 0.88 points to end at 18.20 and Metro Holding (IS:METRO) was up 4.08% or 0.040 points to 1.020 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Yapi Ve Kredi Bank. (IS:YKBNK), which fell 3.04% or 0.120 points to trade at 3.830 at the close. Pegasus (IS:PGSUS) declined 2.10% or 0.340 points to end at 15.860 and Trabzonspor Sportif (IS:TSPOR) was down 2.08% or 0.060 points to 2.830.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 174 to 161 and 70 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for April delivery was up 1.59% or 19.05 to $1215.05 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 1.46% or 0.77 to hit $53.40 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract rose 1.64% or 0.91 to trade at $56.23 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.25% to 3.7717, while EUR/TRY rose 0.78% to 4.0760.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.96% at 99.46.
