Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Chemical, Petroleum & Plastic, Telecoms and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 0.00%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Halk Gmyo (IS:HLGYO), which rose 3.19% or 0.030 points to trade at 0.970 at the close. Meanwhile, Ihlas Holding (IS:IHLAS) added 3.03% or 0.010 points to end at 0.340 and Tupras (IS:TUPRS) was up 2.59% or 2.05 points to 81.05 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were AK Enerji (IS:AKENR), which fell 3.41% or 0.030 points to trade at 0.850 at the close. Nurol Gmyo (IS:NUGYO) declined 3.34% or 0.140 points to end at 4.050 and Park Elek. Madencilik (IS:PRKME) was down 2.87% or 0.060 points to 2.030.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 269 to 87 and 51 ended unchanged.
Shares in Tupras (IS:TUPRS) rose to all time highs; gaining 2.59% or 2.05 to 81.05.
Gold for February delivery was down 0.21% or 2.55 to $1187.25 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 1.25% or 0.67 to hit $53.11 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract fell 1.49% or 0.84 to trade at $55.40 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.35% to 3.8618, while EUR/TRY rose 0.47% to 4.1345.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.01% at 100.51.
