Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Metal Products & Machinery, Food & Beverages and Holdings & Investments sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 2.13% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Vestel Elektronik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:VESTL), which rose 12.09% or 1.340 points to trade at 12.420 at the close. Meanwhile, Celebi Hava Servisi AS (IS:CLEBI) added 6.57% or 6.10 points to end at 99.00 and Parsan Makina Parcalari Sanayi AS (IS:PARSN) was up 6.09% or 0.870 points to 15.150 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Tat Gida Sanayi AS (IS:TATGD), which fell 1.98% or 0.090 points to trade at 4.450 at the close. Metro Ticari ve Mali Yatirimlar Holding AS (IS:METRO) declined 1.96% or 0.020 points to end at 1.000 and Koza Anadolu Metal Madencilik Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAA) was down 1.53% or 0.120 points to 7.730.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 268 to 72 and 69 ended unchanged.
Shares in Celebi Hava Servisi AS (IS:CLEBI) rose to all time highs; gaining 6.57% or 6.10 to 99.00.
Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.46% or 6.15 to $1349.05 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 3.55% or 1.85 to hit $54.02 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract rose 2.10% or 1.28 to trade at $62.22 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.44% to 5.8430, while EUR/TRY fell 0.62% to 6.5423.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.09% at 97.143.
