Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Technology, Transport and Basic Metals sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 2.10%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Pegasus Hava Tasimaciligi AS (IS:PGSUS), which rose 10.86% or 2.620 points to trade at 26.740 at the close. Meanwhile, GSD Holding AS (IS:GSDHO) added 9.09% or 0.060 points to end at 0.720 and Aselsan Elektronik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:ASELS) was up 7.23% or 1.94 points to 28.76 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Tekfen Holding AS (IS:TKFEN), which fell 2.04% or 0.39 points to trade at 18.70 at the close. Koc Holding AS (IS:KCHOL) declined 1.79% or 0.23 points to end at 12.59 and Yatas Yatak ve Yorgan Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:YATAS) was down 1.78% or 0.080 points to 4.420.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 305 to 65 and 39 ended unchanged.
Shares in Koc Holding AS (IS:KCHOL) fell to 52-week lows; down 1.79% or 0.23 to 12.59.
Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.90% or 11.20 to $1228.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 0.34% or 0.23 to hit $66.84 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract rose 0.19% or 0.14 to trade at $71.98 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 1.05% to 4.7946, while EUR/TRY fell 1.39% to 5.5954.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.42% at 94.67.
