Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Basic Metals, Textile & Leather and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 1.50%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Banvit Bandirma Vitaminli Yem Sanayi AS (IS:BANVT), which rose 9.16% or 0.940 points to trade at 11.200 at the close. Meanwhile, Teknosa Ic ve Dis Ticaret AS (IS:TKNSA) added 8.64% or 0.330 points to end at 4.150 and Eregli Demir ve Celik Fabrikalari TAS (IS:EREGL) was up 5.63% or 0.580 points to 10.890 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Kardemir Karabuk Demir Celik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS Class D (IS:KRDMD), which fell 3.72% or 0.160 points to trade at 4.140 at the close. Ihlas Holding AS (IS:IHLAS) declined 3.03% or 0.010 points to end at 0.320 and TAV Havalimanlari Holding (IS:TAVHL) was down 2.84% or 0.66 points to 22.56.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 245 to 109 and 54 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.17% or 2.20 to $1277.90 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 1.72% or 1.13 to hit $64.56 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract fell 0.70% or 0.53 to trade at $74.81 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.36% to 4.7216, while EUR/TRY fell 0.06% to 5.4675.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.33% at 94.72.
