Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Telecoms, Transport and Basic Metals sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 1.14%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Pegasus Hava Tasimaciligi AS (IS:PGSUS), which rose 7.62% or 16.00 points to trade at 226.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Baticim Bati Anadolu Cimento Sanayi AS (IS:BTCIM) added 7.14% or 10.00 points to end at 150.00 and Ford Otomotiv Sanayi AS (IS:FROTO) was up 5.65% or 57.00 points to 1,065.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Reeder Teknoloji Sanayi Ve Ticaret AS (IS:REEDR), which fell 5.15% or 2.06 points to trade at 37.94 at the close. Alfa Solar Enerji AS (IS:ALFAS) declined 3.13% or 2.20 points to end at 68.20 and Izdemir Enerji Elektrik Uretim AS (IS:IZENR) was down 3.06% or 0.68 points to 21.54.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 325 to 233 and 11 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.94% or 21.85 to $2,348.45 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 0.14% or 0.11 to hit $78.01 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract rose 0.24% or 0.20 to trade at $82.12 a barrel.
USD/TRY was unchanged 0.01% to 32.33, while EUR/TRY rose 0.77% to 35.06.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 1.23% at 103.90.
