Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Chemical, Petroleum & Plastic, Holdings & Investments and Tourism sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 0.67%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Yatas Yatak ve Yorgan Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:YATAS), which rose 5.66% or 0.220 points to trade at 4.110 at the close. Meanwhile, Petkim Petrokimya Holding AS (IS:PETKM) added 5.50% or 0.280 points to end at 5.370 and Akenerji Elektrik Uretim AS (IS:AKENR) was up 5.36% or 0.030 points to 0.590 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Anadolu Efes Biracilik ve Malt Sanayi AS (IS:AEFES), which fell 4.60% or 0.86 points to trade at 17.84 at the close. Banvit Bandirma Vitaminli Yem Sanayi AS (IS:BANVT) declined 4.09% or 0.610 points to end at 14.290 and Turkiye Sinai Kalkinma Bankasi AS (IS:TSKB) was down 2.41% or 0.020 points to 0.810.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 187 to 162 and 60 ended unchanged.
Shares in Anadolu Efes Biracilik ve Malt Sanayi AS (IS:AEFES) fell to 52-week lows; down 4.60% or 0.86 to 17.84.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.34% or 4.00 to $1192.60 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.83% or 0.62 to hit $74.91 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 1.10% or 0.92 to trade at $84.83 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.01% to 6.1112, while EUR/TRY fell 0.06% to 7.0217.
The US Dollar Index Futures was unchanged 0.00% at 95.44.
