Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Chemical, Petroleum & Plastic, Textile & Leather and Holdings & Investments sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 0.26%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Vestel Elektronik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:VESTL), which rose 8.84% or 1.080 points to trade at 13.300 at the close. Meanwhile, Tekfen Holding AS (IS:TKFEN) added 8.12% or 2.02 points to end at 26.90 and Kordsa Global Endustriyel Iplik ve Kord Bezi Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:KORDS) was up 4.86% or 0.52 points to 11.22 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Aksa Enerji Uretim AS (IS:AKSEN), which fell 9.67% or 0.290 points to trade at 2.710 at the close. Koza Altin Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAL) declined 3.92% or 1.84 points to end at 45.08 and Ipek Dogal Enerji Kaynaklari Arastirma ve Uretim AS (IS:IPEKE) was down 3.58% or 0.180 points to 4.850.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 185 to 162 and 59 ended unchanged.
Shares in Vestel Elektronik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:VESTL) rose to all time highs; up 8.84% or 1.080 to 13.300. Shares in Tekfen Holding AS (IS:TKFEN) rose to all time highs; gaining 8.12% or 2.02 to 26.90.
Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.44% or 5.75 to $1307.25 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May fell 0.27% or 0.16 to hit $59.22 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract fell 0.06% or 0.04 to trade at $67.50 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.19% to 5.4763, while EUR/TRY rose 0.34% to 6.2169.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.15% at 95.835.
