Turkey stocks higher at close of trade; BIST 100 up 0.26%

Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Leasing & Factoring, Transport and Technology sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 0.26%.

The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Kardemir Karabuk Demir Celik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS Class D (IS:KRDMD), which rose 6.58% or 0.290 points to trade at 4.700 at the close. Meanwhile, Kiler Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:KLGYO) added 5.29% or 0.120 points to end at 2.390 and Tumosan Motor ve Traktor Sanayi AS (IS:TMSN) was up 4.73% or 0.270 points to 5.980 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Yatas Yatak ve Yorgan Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:YATAS), which fell 3.10% or 0.660 points to trade at 20.600 at the close. Ipek Dogal Enerji Kaynaklari Arastirma ve Uretim AS (IS:IPEKE) declined 2.41% or 0.140 points to end at 5.670 and Anadolu Efes Biracilik ve Malt Sanayi AS (IS:AEFES) was down 2.37% or 0.56 points to 23.04.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 238 to 121 and 48 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.74% or 9.30 to $1245.20 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 0.46% or 0.34 to hit $73.81 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract fell 1.74% or 1.38 to trade at $77.85 a barrel.

USD/TRY was up 0.69% to 4.6186, while EUR/TRY rose 0.02% to 5.3658.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.58% at 94.78.
