Investing.com - Tesla (NASDAQ:TSLA) CEO Elon Musk said it was time to "break up" Amazon after the e-commerce giant refused to sell former New York Times (NYSE:NYT) reporter Alex Berenson's book on the coronavirus pandemic.

Berenson's book, "Unreported Truths about Covid-19 and Lockdowns: Part 1: Introduction and Death Counts and Estimates," which questions the overarching coronavirus narrative, failed to comply with its guidelines, Amazon said.

In a tweet calling for the break up of Amazon, Musk said monopolies are "wrong."

Amazon.com (NASDAQ:AMZN) was largely flat on the day. Tesla fell 1.3%.

People are smart, need to see all kinds and sources of information, and they will sort out the facts. Censorship is always done by "someone" who thinks he or she knows more than anyone else, which often is simply bias. Censorship is completely wrong. "Narratives" created by media news outlets is completely wrong. "Narratives" are simply an assembly of statements to create an impression or image. The public doesn't need these constructs. All we need is independent reporting of disparate facts, unencumbered by comments or opinions, from different sources. We can figure it out. "Narratives," simply because they are created and assemble by someone, always contain bias. Toss this lot of "information providers" in the garbage. We are better off without all of them.

Hardly think this is an exercise of monopolistic power. Lol. The publisher has a plethora of publishing opportunities in this age of social media and will be delighted to Amazon and Musk for the free publicity! What I will say is that people rushing to get books out are very likely seeking to take advantage of the climate of anger, fear, concerns and culture wars. The true facts and verdict on Covid 19 will established years from now, not in the midst of the pandemic.  We are only at the end of Chapter 1 of this book!

As soon as the narrative is different from the libs even if it's true, they shut it down. Freedom of speech only applies one way. Disgusting what this country has become.

Why is it that anything contrary to the liberal... socialist... globalist point of view, covid, is systematic being censored. Facebook, YouTube, Google and Amazon all have an agenda that will not be good for us, me, and you. Wake up people, you're being played.

If we were to close down every publisher who ever turned down a book, they'd all be closed down.
